Making it Stick
Training and development programs are only as impactful as the learning that sticks after the session ends. Too often, companies invest in training without clear expectations, instructors deliver content without meaningful engagement, and participants walk away with good intentions but little retention. In this practical and energizing session, participants will explore what it takes to make training effective from three essential perspectives: the organization, the facilitator, and the learner. Lauren Ansley introduces a multi-pronged approach to training success, including the actionable STICK Framework - a tool designed to help learners absorb, apply, and retain what they’ve learned long after the session ends. Attendees will walk away with practical strategies they can implement immediately and resources to keep learning alive.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify common pitfalls and best practices for companies in setting up training for success, including how to communicate purpose, manage expectations, and boost participation.
2. Understand how instructors and facilitators can make learning engaging, memorable, and relevant through storytelling, interaction, and reinforcement techniques.
3. Apply the STICK Framework to encourage personal ownership of learning and maximize individual retention and application.
Gain access to downloadable resources and a practical checklist that supports lasting learning beyond the classroom.
