Description:

This virtual event offers new (and current) members an opportunity

to learn more about our ATD Charlotte Area Chapter. Amy Knight,

VP of Membership, and Sylvia Yarborough, VP of Professional

Development, will guide attendees through an engaging chapter

orientation, sharing the organization’s rich history, resources, and

opportunities for professional growth. The session will focus on

fostering connections among members, navigating the ATD

Charlotte Area Chapter website, how to get involved, and outlining

a vision for the future.

Attendees will leave with actionable insights on how to maximize

their chapter membership, collaborate with peers, and contribute

to advancing talent development in their organization.

Amy Knight is a seasoned Learning and Development professional with over 17 years of experience leading strategic training initiatives, primarily at Duke Energy. She specializes in creating impactful, goal-aligned programs that foster continuous learning and growth. As an active Board Member of the ATD Charlotte Chapter, Amy is passionate about advancing the Learning and Development profession and empowering fellow practitioners to excel.

Sylvia Yarborough is a training and development professional with over 20 years of experience in building training and development programs in the public and private sectors. Her mission is to help others achieve the lives they want to live through sustainable careers. She is a Talent and Culture Strategy Consultant in the technology industry.
