Day of Learning FAQs
The ATD Charlotte Day of Learning is a one-day professional development and networking event for learning and development, HR, talent management, coaching, consulting, education, and related professionals. This year’s theme is The Adaptive Edge: Converting Disruption into Impact.
The networking reception is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, from 6:00–8:00 PM. The full Day of Learning program takes place Friday, September 18, from 8:30 AM–4:00 PM.
The event will be hosted at Charlotte Motor Speedway, providing an energetic setting for a high-impact day of learning, connection, and professional growth.
This event is designed for learning and development professionals, instructional designers, training facilitators, educators, coaches, consultants, learning leaders, HR and talent management professionals, change managers, project managers, students, and anyone who supports workforce learning and performance.
Attendees can expect keynote presentations, practical sessions, future-focused industry insights, and opportunities to connect with more than 200 peers from across North Carolina. The program is designed to help talent development professionals become more strategic, agile, and influential within their organizations.
Sessions will focus on converting disruption into impact, elevating talent development as a strategic business partner, influencing stakeholders, navigating change, building resilience, strengthening professional presence, and taking practical action in complex workplace environments.
The current speaker lineup includes Mike Mooney, Larry Long Jr., Jessica Pettitt, and Chris Vasami. Additional speakers, topics, and engagement opportunities may be announced as event details are finalized.
No. The Day of Learning welcomes both ATD members and non-members who are interested in learning, talent development, leadership, workplace performance, and professional networking.
Yes. Teams of five or more individuals from the same company may be eligible for a $10 discount off the current member or non-member price. To inquire about group registration, contact administrator@atdcharlotte.org.
Registration is available through the ATD Charlotte event page. Because space at the Speedway is limited, early registration is encouraged.
Yes. Organizations interested in sponsoring the Day of Learning can contact info@ATDCharlotte.org. Once an inquiry is received, a Day of Learning committee member will follow up with additional information.
No. All sponsorship and exhibitor requests are subject to Day of Learning committee approval, and sponsorship does not constitute an endorsement.
