Today’s workplace technologies are designed to cater to the preferred communication and learning methods of multiple generations. In this session, we’ll explore the devices, environment, content and technologies that enable seamless sharing between Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials and the upcoming Generation Z. We’ll describe the new and evolving learning ecosystems as they relate to generational change, recommend technologies, such as the xAPI, adaptive and personalized learning systems, that will facilitate learning across a growing number of devices and platforms, and show how to develop a comprehensive content strategy based on generational preferences for specific devices and environments.
Tracy is co-founder and Chief Learning Officer of Weejee Learning. In her current roles, she leads a team of talented instructional designers, graphic designers and developers to deliver unique learning solutions that wow. She works with clients worldwide, including DaVita, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Abbott Diabetes Care, Varian, PwC, Conservation International, Catholic Relief Services, Burt's Bees, and Genworth. Tracy speaks regularly at industry conferences on topics of best practices, effective instructional design techniques and content creation, and shares her thoughts and ideas in industry magazines and journals.
Ian Huckabee is co-founder and CEO of Weejee Learning. He is a digital strategist and technologist focusing on innovations in e-learning and specializes in digital and social strategy for learning as well as product and business innovation. Prior to Weejee, Ian was vice president of audio operations and marketing for Sony Music Entertainment Inc. and served on the board of directors of CEA’s TechHome division. Ian shares his thoughts on learning trends through Weejee, various blogs and publications, and through his teaching and speaking engagements.
